And ANOTHER FO!!!

Nå har jeg overgått meg selv, i dag har jeg heklet kant rundt denne søte lille kjolen. Skal være størrelse 0-3mnd, men jeg syns den ser liten ut likevel... Strikket noen ekstra knapphull på skuldrene for at den skal kunne vokse litt i det minste... Mangler knapper enn så lenge, på bildet ligger den på et håndkle på badet, måtte skylle den opp og prøve litt forsiktig blokking siden kantene krøllet seg inn. Mønster fra et av min mors Gjesdal hefter (har det desverre ikke her), strikket i offwhite og lilla babyull på pinne 2,5.





And another one, I've outdone myself this weekend. Today I've finnished off this cute little dress, size 0-3months. I think it looks a bit small, so I added a few extra buttonholes on the shoulders. At the picture it's on a towel in the bathroom, since I'm trying to carefully block the edges so they won't "roll" too much, the crochet edge didn't help... Pattern is from Gjesdal (haven't got the original here since I borrowed a pattern from my mum this summer), knit in offwhite and lilac babywool on needles 2,5mm.

A FO

Jeg er ferdig med noe!!!! Pixielue og sokker i matchende mønster, 2r, 2vr, hullkant oppe og liten "blonde", sokkene ble strikket tå-opp. Lua var ferdig forrige tirsdag, og sokkene ble påbegynt hos energibombe tirsdag kveld. Tar sin tid før jeg får montert ting... Fargen er forresten mer burgunder enn den ser ut til å være ut fra bildet!





I've finnished something!!!! A pixiehat and socks in a matching pattern (k2, p2), the socks are knit from the toe up. The hat was finnished almost 14 days ago, and I cast on for the socks tuesday almost 14 days ago. It just takes time to finnish things!

I'm knitting and crying today, listening to old songs by Alabama... Angels among us seems to be the perfect song for my mood today... I hope they can do something from my grandmother, atleast painrelief, but we won't know for a while yet... But it doesn't look good :(

Bursdagsgave \ birthdaypresent

Jeg har nålefiltet til min kjære mormor ("mor") som fyller 80 år til tirsdag... Gaven reiser i posten i morgen, og kommer forhåpentligvis frem på dagen! Hun er nylig rammet av kreft, og reiser til radiumhospitalet denne uka, ønsker henne alt godt!



I've needle-feltet (?) a broche for my dear grandmother ("mor") who turns 80 on tuesday. The gift is leaving by mail tomorrow morning and it will hopefully reach her on her b-day. She just got diagnosed with cancer and is leaving for treatment this week, I wish her all the best!

Magic Yarnball #2

I've knitted all the red yarn, now it's only yellow cotton left... Don't quite know what to do with this, so I unwind the ball and figure out later what to knit.



Here's the hat, pre-felting, it's knitted from all the red yarn in the ball togehter with feltable whool yarn.



This is what the ball contained! Loads of lovely buttons, a few beads, a little pair of sisors, some pins and a small box containing sewinggoods... I just love the asian touch, there's a lot of asian inspired buttons and also the box has that sort of pattern... LOVE IT!!!



Here's the hat after felting... Still not dry so I didn't feel like taking my picture with it on, but I have tried it and it fits perfectly!

Denne gangen var det historien om den lille prisen som var tema, og jeg har laget ei veske :) Valgte å brodere på to sitat fra boka, samt laga ei stjerne og noe som forsåvidt kan oppfattes som sola evt en planet... Dette blir julegave til mamma, glad hun ikke er innom her og sjekker :P

This time we were supposed to make something from the story about the little prince, I made this bag. I've chosen some sentences from the book and made a star and a sun. This will be a christmasgift for my mum!

Remember the KSK-kit I sent?

It took around a month to reach it's recipient, makes you just love the snail-mail-system, doesn't it? It finally arrived a few days ago, the recipient is Lauren of Knitting in the Desert. Have a look at her blog for pictures, I ofcourse forgot to take pictures before I sent it... Typically me!

Jeg er FERDIG med noe! Et par laaaaang håndleddsvarmere til vottealongen på hobbyforum er ferdige, strikket i Rosarios 4 Tricot. Jeg fikk akkurat en pakke fra garnklubben på strikkinnom også, denne inneholdt babygarn, og det passer perfekt siden jeg er rimelig hekta på babytøy til gaver... Bilder kommer så snart jeg får noe ferdig, jeg har for mange prosjekter på gang nå!

I've actually FINNISHED something!!!! This is a pair of loooong wristwarmers knit in Rosarios 4 Tricot, love this colorway, reminds me of the colors of fall! I also just got even more yarn in a yarnclub pacage, a lot of babyyarn, which is just perfect since I'm knitting a lot of babystuff for my friends... I have too many projects on the needles at the moments, pictures will come when I finnish something!

4 Seasons Gift Club

Tidligere i høst så meldt jeg meg på 4 Seasons Gift Club. Konseptet er at vi sender en pakke for hver "sesong" til en tildelt person. Her er min høstgave fra "tine".

Jeg fikk pakke fra min hemmelige venn på hobbyboden her forrige helg, har bare ikke hatt tid til å oppdatere bloggen, skolen har tatt en del tid i det siste, i tillegg til at jeg trener like mye som vanlig... :P

This is the september gift from my secret friend at hobbyboden, it arrived a week ago but I haven't had time to update my blog lately. School and training takes most of my spare time!






I just love it! ;) Especeally the little bag, just need to deside what I'll use it for!

Magic Yarnball #2 is on :) You could have joined here, and this time you can even risk getting a ball of odds and ends of different yarn...

To my swappartner:
If you make a ball from a single skein or one type of yarn I'd be thrilled (love wool and cotton), if not I hope it can either be felted or can be knitted together with a feltable yarn and then felted (I hate weaving in ends and I do not want the ends to hang loose). I'm really looking forward to this swap!

I have already started thinking of what I'll make this time *LOL* especeally the piece in the center will be a challenge...

Lite blogging\not much blogging...

Er lite som blir ferdig for tida, jobber litt på alt og MYE med skole + andre ting jeg sjonglerer... I tillegg så har "kreftspøkelset" rammet familien min igjen, den siste av mine gjenlevende besteforeldre er rammet og vi venter på resultater fra undersøkelser... Kreftsykdommen dukker stadig opp i min familie, så det er vel egentlig ikke rart at det var kreftforskning jeg endte opp med utdannelse innen...

I've not finnished any knitting (or anything else for that matter) since I last posted, I'm working a lot with school and other stuff... And the "cancerghost" has struck again, my last remaining grandparent is in hospital and we're awaiting testresults... Cancer seems to be a normal sickness in my family, so it's not really that odd that I ended up with a master's thesis in cancer reserach.

I dag kom garnet mitt fra Uruguay, OG boka med tyrkiske sokkemønster... masse spennende!

Lano & Sunlight

And here are the little piggys which is now happily chewing away on their goodies from my KSK-bag!

Lano: Is a grey and white guinea pig with REALLY long fur... I have to cut it so it doesn't get too long and really tangelled up... She's very cute, only about 10months old! I got her when my oldest piggy died in november. She's also the smartest of the two, she really knows how to get my attention and let me know EXACTLY what she wants! You could say I've been trained to be a good owner\servant.


Sunligh: Is a "rosett" guinea pig (don't know what it's really called in english), she has fur going in literally all directions. She's white, brown and black, and LOVES her food... She's really lazy, and getting fat (I need ideas to get her moving), the only thing that really gets her going is FOOD and if I want her to move around a bit I give her a foodball (you know, one of those where you stick some goodies inside and the animal have to push it around and sometimes some food comes out of a hole).

WOW! Am I spoiled or what????

First picture: From left to right, needles with holder (I just love that kind of needles, don't know if I can get them here), goodies for my little guinea pigs (who are VERY happy at the moment), goodies for me (I'm saving them for now, they look jummy but I can't stay up eating candy when I have a 8am lecture tomorrow morning!). The green thing is a tape measure (love it, sooo cute), and on top of it is 15cm needles size 2,25 (I don't have needles in 1/4 sizes so I'm so happy!), there's stitchmarkers in the little bag and in front there's lovely wooden (handmade!!!!) needles with little owls on top... look how cute they are....

Second picture: The lovely bag (which you can read more about over at Ruth), love both the yarn and pattern, and I have Koigu which I've only read about in overseas blogs... love the feel of it, can I really knit socks in this yarn??? just LOOK at the colors!!!!
Oh, and the beaded needles kinda sneaked into the picture again!

and a third picture, tried to take a picture of the little owls on the needles, but my camera wouldn't cooperate...

Thank you SO much Ruth!!!! Now I just hope my KSK-pal gets her kit soon... It was sent a few days BEFORE I was told my kit was on its way!

KSK-sock pattern

I've knitted up a pair of sock with my measurements of the pattern I sent my KSK-swappal... Just tell me if you want more detailed pictures, these are taken with bad light and the yarn is very varigated, so you can't really se the pattern...






I made some changes... I knitted a (p1, k1) ribbing, I knitted the dividing stiches as (p1, k1, p1) and I didn't knit (sl1, k1) on the heelflap (I forgot, was knitting on the go and didn't have the pattern present)...
Changes I'd like to make
I'd really like the two stiches which end as (ssk, k2tog) to be cabeled on the knit-round, so you knit the ssk stitch before the k2tog stitch... ofcourse it's up to you if you want to or not, but I think it'd make it a more distinkt pattern!

Let your imagination flow #3

Today we got the theme for "let your imagination flow #3"-KAL... It's the little prince, I'd never read this story before... I've just read it through and it made me a little sad... For my part it could have been called the little princess, it made my think of my little sister who sadly passed away many years ago! I remember my mothers story of how my little sister now lives on the northern star, and comes to visit every christmas...

I can't tell you what I'll make for the KAL, since it has to stay a secret until september 20th... Will show it then...

Dag 1. over...

Nå er jeg ganske så sliten, dag 1 på PPU i dag:P En dag med å være kreativ var uvant, særlig når den dagen begynte før 6 i dag morges (å komme seg på tvers av byen når man skal møte 0800 og bussene er beregna til å møte 0815.... *riste på hodet* Har nå vært her i mange timer i dag, og nå skal jeg på trening, bare få i meg litt mat først... Blir lite tid til hobby i dag og i morra skjønner jeg, har bare hatt kanskje 20min pause i løpet av dagen i dag!

Ok... since I'm selling a lot of old schoolbooks this year, I grabbed the one currently at the top of the pile, it's called Developing JAVA Software, so this might be interesting (it haven't been opened the last few years)... I'll skip the javacode and count sentences from where the text begins.

Jeg har strikket i sommer!

Dette er et utvalg av hva som ble ferdig i løpet av sommeren... mer kommer, må bare feste noen tråder og strikke ferdig litt detaljer!


FBS i babyull jeg fikk av min HV på HB ;) mye forkortelser her. Pinne 5,5, 8 repetisjoner av lower basket.


Min curliecue, strikket i rubin superwash fra sparkjøp på pinne 4,5. Brukte 12 nøster og ca 1 meter av nøste nr 13... Ble litt over 120cm i diameter men jeg merker det vokser i bruk også!


Sokker i regia, måtte bruke litt av et annet nøste med litt annen fargekombinasjon men syns ikke det ble så alt for galt... Strikket av restegarn :) La opp 60 masker med 4 tråds regia på pinne 3,5 og de ble kjempebra, tror jeg må opp til den størrelsen på 4 tråds regia!

Knit-Sock-Kit-Swap: Bag done! Pictures will come, I think it's soooooo cool... since my partner still haven't sent me any foot-measurements I will probably end up sending a pattern that she'll have to finnish customizing herself... What do you think ?

Magic Yarnball-swap & Shedir :)

This is what I got from my swappartner, Shelly, in the magic yarnball swap :)
I love the color of the yarn, it's most correct in this picture... and the feel, it's sooo soft! It's Rowan Calmer, and I also got the pattern for Shedir... so I HAD to knit it while I was unravelling the ball of yarn!



This is what was in the ball of yarn...
Top row: Flower broche, smal postit, tea, lip balm, more small post it-notes... I like the idea of using the small post it to mark where I am when I knit diagrams! Bottom row: Flower stickers, monster magnetic bookmark, more flower stickers, more tea, and in the center of the ball I found a small box with stichmarkers, love them already! Kinda needed them when I started knitting :P

"Whiskey purse"

A lot of the "hobbyboden"-people have knitted purses for whinebottles, I made one for a whiskey bottle... It's a present to my aunt and uncle for reading through my master's thesis and correcting all my writing mistakes!

Here's the patches we were supposed to make in may... I just finnished! My master's thesis took a lot of time i may and june, have started the junepatches now, hope to finnish before july ends!

sommeroppdatering -1

jeg har tatt totalt sommerferie etter jeg leverte, orker knapt å være på nett... sitter på verandaen, enten i sommerstua (under tak og i skyggen) eller i sola avhengig av varmen, og strikker ;)

status er:
1. strikkeveske fra Felisi - mottatt og i flittig bruk! :)
2. curlicue - 3 seksjoner ferdig, strikker i Rubin Superwash på pinne 4, blir litt lite men jeg er fornøyd
3. bolero fra garnstudio - har strikket 20cm på bollen, 3cm til så skal jeg felle til ermer... det er så ullent når jeg strikker i kitten så orker ikke strikke på den når det er så varmt at garnet kleber seg fast!
4. hakkelapper - ferdig med 2/4 mailapper, har begynt på den tredje... mangler også junilappene!
5. Knit Sock Kit Swap - jobber med det!

Bilder kommer så snart pc'n min slutter å krangle om alt!

I've done nothing since I finnished my master's thesis, I'm just having holidays this summer! But I'm still knitting!
